Summary Of Thoughts For This Course
Before this course, my understanding of identity systems was limited, and I didn't realize the importance of having a consistent and cohesive brand identity. However, as I progressed through the course, I learned that an identity system is a collection of visual elements, such as logos, colors, typography, and imagery, that work together to communicate a brand's values, personality, and message.
Initial Expectations
My initial expectations going into the course were fairly average. However, as the course progressed, my understanding of identity systems expanded, and I became more interested in the importance of branding and creating a cohesive visual identity for a company or organization. I was surprised by how much thought and strategy goes into creating a brand identity and how crucial it is to the success of a business.
Favorite Part
My favorite part of the course was the Music Festival project, as it allowed me to combine my love of music with my newfound knowledge of branding. It was exciting to create a visual identity for a hypothetical festival and see how the different elements came together to form a cohesive brand.
Topics
I found the topics of logos and icons particularly interesting because they are the most recognizable elements of a brand identity. I learned about the importance of simplicity and versatility in creating a logo, as well as the impact that colors and typography can have on the overall perception of a brand.
Final Thoughts
