Project Brief
For this project, I focused on designing a series of four creative postage stamps. The goal was to create original stamps with a unique theme that reflects my personal creativity.
Theme
I chose the theme of a baker snowman, which adds a fresh twist to the common snowman design often seen during the holiday season. This snowman is dressed in a soft pink apron, a chef's hat, and oven mitts, and she specializes in baking pastries and desserts with a snowman theme. Even her treats, from snowman cookies to snowman ice cream cones, bear her signature touch. To add a holiday spark, I included a friendly gingerbread man as her companion.

Process
In the initial stages, I used simple circles to create the snowman and opted for softer, non-black outlines to maintain a gentle appearance. For color choices, I envisioned a baby blue sky and a baby pink apron for the snowman, which I consistently applied across all stamps for visual cohesion. The first stamp featured the snowman holding a cupcake, with white dots simulating snow in the background. To make the set more dynamic, I introduced varying patterns for the other stamps' backgrounds. Two stamps had pink backgrounds, one with light pink dots, and one with stripes. The other two had blue backgrounds, one with snow and the other with lines and dots.

Work-In-Progress
     Before                                                                   After
Minimal changes were made from the work-in-progress stage to the final version. The primary adjustment involved resizing and repositioning the snowman in the first stamp to prevent the cupcake from being too close to the edge. This careful modification enhanced the overall visual balance of the design.
Final Thoughts
This project provided a refreshing departure from my usual work. It allowed me to embrace simplicity and freed me from worrying about intricate details. Creating these simpler designs demonstrated that less detail can still yield excellent results. It has inspired me to explore more simple design concepts and look forward to what I can create next!
